Summary

The intention of this book is to help you develop your own meditations. Various forms of meditation are practiced throughout the world and in order to understand how this term is used in the creation of these writings we should first take a journey into Biblical meditation. The oldest languages in the world originate in the Middle East and ancient Hebrew is one of those languages. Within the Hebrew culture we find the word "Hagah" which translated into English means to meditate. The word first appears in the Bible in Joshua 1:8 where it says to meditate on God's Word day and night. Perhaps the most well known passage where we find this word is in Psalm 1:2 where again it encourages us to meditate on God's Word day and night. The Psalmist wrote, "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing [acceptable] in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer." (Psalm 19:14). My prayer is that you will meditate on these devotionals and write down what God personally speaks to your heart. Then put your meditation into action by stepping out in faith readily equipped to apply Godly principles, wisdom, compassion and understanding more effectively into your daily life.
