Summary

Millions of comic book fans know Tony Stark as Iron Man. But few, if any, truly know the man inside the armor.

He’s a genius entrepreneur, an inventor, a business mogul, and a super hero—not to mention an Avenger reassembled in his physical form and reunited with his humanity. And now Tony Stark is ready to talk about it all.

Revisit the story of one of Marvel Comics’ most heroic, heralded, and complex characters in his own words, as well as through notes, interviews, and files assembled from the Avengers’ archives.

An unprecedented, comprehensive firsthand chronicle, Iron Man: Tony Stark Declassified draws on more than a half century of classic tales to present an insightful, personal take about—and by—one of the most talked-about heroes of all time.

Featuring Tony’s perspective on his most important friends, allies, and enemies including Captain America, Pepper Potts, Happy Hogan, James Rhodes, Ironheart, Bruce Banner, and Arno Stark, and his thoughts on the Marvel Universe’s most memorable moments, this first-of-its-kind archival collection is a must for fans of all eras.

Author Biography

Dayton Ward is a New York Times bestselling author or co-author of more than forty novels and novellas, often working with his best friend, Kevin Dilmore. His short fiction has appeared in more than thirty anthologies, and he's written for publications such as NCO Journal, Kansas City Voices, Famous Monsters of Filmland, Star Trek and Star Trek Communicator as well as the websites Tor.com, StarTrek.com, and Syfy.com. Before making the jump to full-time writing, Dayton was a software developer, having discovered the private sector after serving for eleven years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Though he currently lives in Kansas City with his family, Dayton is a Florida native and still maintains a torrid long-distance romance with his beloved (and often beleaguered) Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Visit him at www.daytonward.com.

Kevin Dilmore has teamed with author and best pal Dayton Ward for nearly twenty years on novels, shorter fiction and other writings chiefly in the Star Trek universe. As a senior writer for Hallmark Cards, Kevin has helped create books, Keepsake Ornaments, greeting cards and other products featuring characters from DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Star Trek, Star Wars, and other properties. He is a content approver for the recent Rainbow Brite comics series by Dynamite Entertainment. A contributor to publications including The Village Voice, Amazing Stories, Star Trek Communicator, and Famous Monsters of Filmland, he lives in Kansas City, Missouri.

Marvel Entertainment, LLC, a wholly–owned subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company, is one of the world’s most prominent character–based entertainment companies, built on a proven library of more than 8,000 characters featured in a variety of media.
